~10~TEN~10~TEN~ August 22nd, 2007!

When Mike and I first got married I knew down the road it would get harder and harder to find the time to go out on a date night. So I started a new anniversary so that we could have one more reason to celebrate our marriage.

Today is our....
10 Years

10 Months

10 Weeks

10 Days

Anniversary!!

This is the first year where our Yr/Mo/Wk/Dy anniversary actually comes after celebrating 2 anniversaries. We just celebrated our 11th year of marriage on Aug. 3rd. I almost missed this BIG #10 one because I wasn't thinking it would come so close to our normal anniversary. :o)

Now that they are coming at a slower pace I may have to find another reason... maybe a every 100 day date night. ;o)

Deck is DONE!!!!

We have completed one of our household projects: Build a Deck! It's finished!! WOOHOO!!

Yep, we finished putting in the glass in the rain. Ryan's checking out the outlet while the other kids are seeing how it feels to have full access to the deck.

The roman shades are up and working too!

Blackberry Cobbler!!

With the kids coming back each day with stained shirts, dirty hands and a bowl full of green/red/kinda black and then some ripe blackberries I was delighted to find that Pioneer Woman had a recipe on there for Blackberry Cobbler! She has to be the most down to earth and amazing cook that I have found in blog land. :o)

Sooo I made blackberry cobbler (by the way it is #1 on her list, #2 was more complex) from scratch tonight. That's right... me!! I know that this is not a suprise to those who really know me, but for those in the World Wide Web... I'm not nearly domesticated as I wish to be. So this simple (and as it turned out easy) task of making a cobbler from scratch has given me hope for my future. LOL!

Garlic bread spread that is "OH SO YUMMY!"

This stuff is SO good, but you might smell like garlic for a week after eating it! LOL!

Recipe:
Layer of garlic cloves (peeled) in a baking dish (I used about 15 or more). Add chicken broth so that it just covers the cloves. Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes or until the garlic is soft.

Add pieces of sun dried tomatoes and approximately 3 tablespoons of the oil from the tomatoes over the cloves.

Crumble greek feta cheese on the top and bake again at 375 for about 30 minutes.

Serve with some yummy fun bread... OH MY!! Delicious!

One year update on the ferry boat accident...

I can't believe it has already been a year since I fell on the ferry boat and got injured. The wound closed up around January and I have been focusing on the ankle since then. I have a MRI scheduled on the 10th in hopes that we will find out why it hurts so bad still. We thought it was just because of the bad sprain I recieved, but it's getting worse as I do more.

So that's where we are at... wound is done, on to the ankle now. Hopefully this will get cleared up quickly.

This also means we just celebrated our 11th year anniversary, we had a nice evening out & about. We avoided any stairs. LOL!
