The other side of the coin of this amazing matter of cooperation with God is that there are things even God cannot do. He cannot because He has chosen to assign certain powers to his people. If they will not, his hands are tied.

"He did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief"(Mt 13:58 AV).

"How often would I have gathered you . . . but ye would not"(Mt 23:37 AV}.

Some would argue that although it is proper to say that God will not and does not, it is not proper to say that He cannot. I would reply that given the terms of his relationship to us, the people He loved and called, He cannot force us, for He cannot deny Himself. To force us would be to deprive us of the freedom He granted when He made us, and thus to deny Himself.

Yet we pray, "Make me to do Thy will!" And so we should, for in that prayer we express our will to cooperate with Him.

"Our wills are ours to make them Thine." (Tennyson)

Imaginary cat...

My 2 yr. old nephew, Cameron, is extremely creative and smart... he also has an imaginary cat... he has named it "Buddy" (not sure if it is a coincidence that our cat is named the same) and I just have to share with you the conversation he and my parents had yesterday:

Grandma & Grandpa took Cameron to church on Sunday, on their way out of church...

Grandma: Cameron, do you still have Buddy?
Cameron: No! (begins to cry) He is still in the Sunday school class. (Grandma takes him back to the class and he goes in over to the table and picks up his "cat".)

Later in the church bookstore:
Cameron: I ate Buddy all up.
Grandma: You ATE him?!?!?
Cameron: Yes.

In the car on the way home...
Cameron: I want Buddy back. (looking sad)
Grandma: Well, you will have to get him out of your mouth.
Cameron: (pretends to throw up and then proudly holds up his imaginary cat)

Later that evening at Katie's b-day party, Cameron is leaving with his parents (Auntie M & Uncle Brian)...

Auntie Alicia: Cameron, did you remember to get Buddy?
Cameron: No, lost him.
Auntie Alicia: Where is he?
Cameron: In the kitchen... (looks up at his mom and says)...you get him. :o)

Priceless!

Busy month...

We have a lot going on this month! Trying to finish up Winter Quarter's school work before Spring Qtr. begins (March 22nd), my b-day was the 8th, then Katie's will be on the 14th, Joshua's b-day is the 20th, and then Easter is the 27th! We also are in the process of getting Katie's room put together, since she turns 5 this month we decided to get her a BIG girl bed (she was in a toddler size one) and fix up the room a bit.

So basically I have very little time for anything. Which is why this blog is not getting any attention. Now... I have to run and do about 5 loads of laundry, help Jordan finish up Language Arts, clean up the house, get some decorations for Katie's party, work on announcements and somehow nurse the baby about every 2-3 hours. ;o)

Off I go!!!
