Vitamin D, ND's, etc...
I started seeing a naturopathic doctor this year, due to my multi-symptoms that my family doctor has been unable to figure out. I have had this itching/welting/reaction on my skin that is almost always there. If something touches me I break out in welts and begin to itch. You can write your name on my skin and it will welt up, kinda neat for those who have never seen it before. LOL! I just discovered a name for it last year: dermagraphia. The dermatologist put me on hydrocortisone, he said to get used to it, that there’s nothing they can do and I will be on medication for the rest of my life. Then I got pregnant, you can’t use this medication in pregnancy, itching came back worse than ever. Therefore I sought out alternative help.
I’m soooo thankful I did. My ND put me on Cod Liver Oil (omega 3’s) and Quercetin to help with the skin issues… sure enough so far I have had 5 weeks free of itching and welting. The ND believes I can keep the dermagraphia under control with those 2 supplements.
We also discovered I’m deficient in Vitamin D, not really a surprise as most people in WA are. Well, anyone who avoids the sun (with sun block or clothing or just staying indoors) is usually vitamin D deficient. The level most people should have is somewhere between 50-100ng. My level was 14. So I’m on some extra supplements for that which will need extra testing because you don’t want to get too much from supplements.
After a blood allergy test we found out I’m allergic to dairy, blue berries and bananas. I also have weird anaphylactic reactions to most foods… which we believe is the itching and welting that showed up on that test. I seem to react to almost all things, which is why I could never pin point WHAT was making me break out in hives/welts/etc…
THEN… last, but certainly NOT least, I have very high scores for Candida (yeast overgrowth infection in the body). And so I have to figure out how to eliminate sugar and dairy from the diet. Not all dairy, but milk, ice-cream, and yogurt for sure.
If I can keep up on these treatments, then we will see how things improve. Pray for me… the thought of no sugar or dairy is enough to give me a panic attack. ;o)

LOL!!!
I found this online, I think it is supposed to be a t-shirt...

For those who know me in real life... they are aware of my lack of creativity/craftiness. I have dreams of learning how to crochet/sewing/etc... but alas, I just don't have the time or enough desire to make it happen NOW. So this little sticker/t-shirt/whatever, made me laugh. It is now my desktop artwork. :o)
I CAN be crafty!!! LOL!
